Chris and I hopped a ride on the Arrow to cruise out to Muncie. Not a bad flight there, but we were flying on the outskirts of a developing thunderstorm; XM weather kept us updated!
Here's what we got! Woo hoo!
The 430 rocks, with its built-in Nav/Com radios. Plus it's a flip-flop setup, where you can have standby frequencies. Navigating around was easy, Muncie did a nice job of installing!

A final rule still open for comment will codify as regulation a practice already implemented by the FAA: Abbreviated taxi clearances are no longer given.
Following several recent incursions into restricted areas in Arizona, AOPA is joining with the Air Force to raise the awareness of pilots of the flight-planning needs, and collision avoidance and situational awareness requirements of flying in or near airspace shared by military and civilian aircraft.
For 30 years, AOPA and airport advocates in Santa Monica, Calif., have worked to defend the city airport from attacks by opponents whose vocal campaigns obscured a lack of voter support for their efforts. Now, a study commissioned by AOPA has shown that most of those voters prefer that the city turn its attention elsewhere.
